Sean Hopwood is the founder and CEO of Day Translations, which he has led for nearly two decades into a global network of certified translators and interpreters that operates across 100+ cities and 500+ languages. He is a lifelong polyglot who speaks seven languages: English, Spanish, French, Arabic, German, Portuguese, and Hebrew. His entire professional life has revolved around languages, communication, and international business. Long before he built the company, and while running it, Sean worked on the front lines of language access. He has interpreted in hospitals, interpreted for law firms, taught English to graduate students, and worked as a guidance counselor helping international students find their way into U.S. colleges. That hands-on experience, sitting with the patients, attorneys, and students who simply needed to be understood, is the foundation of everything Day Translations does today and a big part of what sets the company apart. His writing here covers leadership, the language industry, and the future of cross-cultural communication.
