Mistranslations - Love in the Butt

Love in the Butt

Now this is a classic translation blooper. Immediately, one has to ask, how on earth did they come up with “Love in the Butt” for a film about two women and one man on a plane? Is the butt just another term to describe a room in a plane? Is this a film about lovers exploring new…realms? Because we couldn’t get over the confusion, we had this sign properly translated. It turns out the title of the film should read as “Love in the Buff”. As the tagline (found above the woman on the right’s head) says, “Sometimes love doesn’t go well”. Apparently some translations have a similar fate. A new mistranslation lesson: mind your t’s and f’s!
