Collectively, our team of professional translators possess years of international translation and localization experience to perfectly fit your business needs.
- Who will translate my document?
It depends on a range of factors, but the translator working on your project will be based in any one of our international offices.
- What is the difference between a “certified translation” and a “notarized translation”?
In the US, a certified translation is one that has been completed by a translator who is a member of the American Translators Association (ATA), whereas a notarized translation bears a notary’s seal. Notarization is an additional service that involves adding the signature of a notary, who is an official witness, to the document. A notary’s signature can be added as a footer or on a separate statement of accuracy, and we may be able to work out the best option after receiving the details of your project.
- What is a “sworn translator” and do you have any available?
A sworn translator can execute sworn translations because he/she has been certified by the government of his/her residence. In a number of countries, such a legal distinction exists, thereby allowing translators to stamp their translations as accurate and faithful to the original document. In the US, where the distinction does not exist, Day Translations combines its agency certification with a notary’s signature to achieve an equivalent standard.
- Do you provide apostille services or academic evaluation?
Yes, we do. An “apostille” is a form of authentication issued to documents for use in countries that participate in the Hague Convention of 1961. Please visit the services page of Day Translations to find out more about the particular service in which you are interested.
- We have a birth certificate that we want translated and certified. Can you provide this service?
Yes. Day Translations is very experienced in certified translations for important documents such as birth certificates and you can expect to receive the certified translation – with the document of certification – by email (a hard copy can also be sent to your address if requested). Further details can be found on our entire list of services.
